THE LAB
The Lab is a place for work, listening, and encounter. A welcoming and open space where music and visual arts coexist naturally — without hierarchy, without haste.
It is an environment both luminous and quiet. Light enters generously, yet leaves room for shadow. Sound does not invade: it accompanies. The gesture does not put itself on display: it takes shape.
Within the laboratory, one studies, observes, experiments. There are moments of explanation and moments of waiting.
Sheets, scores, drawings, and notes share the same space. An open piano, a canvas leaning against the wall, instruments placed on the floor with care. Everything is present, yet nothing is imposed.
The Lab was born as a space of relationship between different languages. Music dialogues with drawing. The visual sign accompanies sound. Silence becomes part of the creative process.
Here, photography, word, sound and image meet — each for what it is. It is not a place of performance, but of presence. We do not seek immediate results, but the harmony of making. Here, time is an ally, not an obstacle.
The laboratory is open to those who recognize themselves in this way of working: emerging or established artists, musicians, illustrators, painters, sculptors.
Different materials, different approaches, different backgrounds. Wood, iron, paper, sound, recovered and transformed matter. The Lab welcomes art in all its forms, without rigid definitions, without predetermined boundaries.
Here take shape artistic projects, pictorial works, visual studies and sound compositions. The Visual section gathers the works that find a shareable form. The rest continues to live within the laboratory: as study, as dialogue, as possibility.
KIKKOCAT is born from this vision. Not as an individual signature, but as a shared space. A laboratory that grows over time, together with the people who inhabit it.
